Viking Football Sets Spring Practice Dates

The Portland State football team will open spring practice on April 14 at Stott Community Field on the PSU campus. That will be begin preparations for the 2008 football season, the second under Head Coach Jerry Glanville.

There will be 14 spring practice dates over the course of four weeks, leading up to a spring scrimmage on May 10. The Vikings will practice from 7-9 a.m. on the designated days at Stott Field, with eight days of full contact.

A complete spring preview and prospectus will be released next week.

HOME GAME TIMES SET
Portland State has announced the starting times for its PGE Park home games for the coming season. The Vikings will host Western Oregon in the season opener on Aug. 30 at 6:05 p.m. All other games will kickoff at 1:05 p.m. (Eastern Washington, Oct. 4; Idaho State, Oct. 25; Montana, Nov. 8; Northern Colorado, Nov. 22). Game times are subject to change.
