THE COURTSIDE CLUB
A message from Head Coach Sherri Murrell:
What another fun and
exciting season 2008-09 brought
us.
More history was made by participating, and winning , in our first
postseason tournament in Division I. Now we want to make that
the norm around here not just a once in a while thing!
After the buzzer sounded in our last game we have been working
hard to continue building a program that you can be proud of, both
on and off the court. Our goals are to be the premier team in
the Big Sky Conference and to help prepare these young women for life after
basketball by emphasizing the necessity of earning a diploma from a quality
institution such as Portland State University. With your financial support and enthusiasm you can help
us reach these goals.
I sincerely hope you will consider becoming
a member of the 2009-10 Viking Courtside Club. Your involvement will ensure that our student-athletes have
all of the resources and opportunities necessary to achieve their maximum
potential, both now and in the future.
You will have the benefit of also getting to know the team and coaches
up close.
I look forward to seeing you in the Peter W. Stott Center this season for
another history making season.

What is the Viking Courtside Club?
The
mission of the Viking Courtside Club is to solely support the Portland
State University Women's Basketball team. Contributions will help in
the following areas:
• Summer school housing and books
• Equipment needs
• Video editing system
• Cover additional money needed for recruiting and team travel
• Other special needs or projects necessary for the success of the program not covered by our operating budget
Viking Courtside Club members will receive the following:
• Team media guide
• "Members Only" invitations to various team functions where you will meet the players and coaches personally
• Invitations to our pre-game Chalk Talks by our coaches to learn about the game plans
• Monthly newsletter from Head Coach Sherri Murrell throughout the season

The satisfaction of knowing you are helping a student-athlete receive
the best resouces possible to succeed on and off the court
