EUGENE, Ore. ? Three Vikings qualified for three different postseason meets Saturday at the Oregon Twilight as Jernise Saunders met the regional standard, Brookman Holmes qualified for the Big Sky Championship and Tony Crisofulli became eligible for the U.S. Junior Nationals.

Saunders improved on her conference-best 100-meter time by clocking in at 11.75, which was good enough to qualify for the NCAA West Regional. Her time at Hayward Field on Saturday was .01 seconds shy of tying a school record, and Saunders will return to Eugene on the final weekend of May for the regional meet.

In the men's 1,500-meter run, Holmes finished in 3:54.54 to qualify for his second event at the Big Sky Championship. Earlier this season he qualified in the 800m, and Saturday's time gives Portland State it's 29th qualifying mark for the conference meet.

Crisofulli improved on his best 800-meter time this year when he crossed the finish line in 1:52.38, and in the process qualified for the U.S. Junior Nationals, which will be held during the last week of June in Eugene.

Other strong performances on Saturday included Kelsey Kahle adding two inches to her best high jump with a height of 5-7.00, and Adriane Wai setting a personal record by finishing in 2:14.36 in the women's 800-meter run.

With the regular season now over, the next event for Portland State is the Big Sky Championship in Missoula, Mont. Competition starts this Wednesday with the heptathlon and decathlon, while all other events will begin on Friday and conclude on Saturday.
