Was a big addition to the team last year, leading in scoring and assists and being the only player to start every game... proved to be explosive on offense... probably the quickest player on the team, has the ability to avoid pressure and get shots off ... a good on-the-ball defender... a good ball handler as well... was a redshirt in 2005-06 due to NCAA transfer rules.

2006-07 • JUNIOR SEASON
Named the Big Sky Conference Newcomer of the Year and second team All-Big Sky Conference... led the Vikings in scoring (13.2) and assists (3.9)... averaged 3.2 rebounds per game and had 39 steals... averaged 15.1 points per game in league play... the only Viking to start every game... had four 20-point games and was in double figures 21 times... led the team in scoring eight times, in rebounding twice and in assists 16 times... also had seven dunks... ranked 12th in the Big Sky in scoring, fifth in assists and ninth in steals... hit the game-winning shot against Utah Valley State (12/2) with 3.5 seconds left... had a near triple-double with 10 points, nine assists and eight rebounds in that game... had 33- and 32-point games against Northern Colorado... scored 21 points in a loss at Weber State (1/10)... posted 26 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in a loss at Sacramento State (1/26)... tallied 18 points and nine assists in a Big Sky quarterfinal round win over Montana State (3/3)... also had an 11-assist game against Howard (12/21)... was named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week on Jan. 22 after getting 52 points, six assists and four steals in wins over Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona... the third Viking to be named Big Sky Newcomer of the Year in 11 seasons (Jason Hartman, Ime Udoka).

PREVIOUS TO PORTLAND STATE
Competed in 14 games at Xavier University last season... had nine points, two rebounds and two steals in a total of 57 minutes playing time.
Played the 2003-04 season at Redlands Community College in Oklahoma... Redlands was the regional champion and national runner-up... was a starter in every game that season.

Lettered twice in basketball and track at Wichita Southeast High School... earned All-City and All-State in basketball... was the league leading scorer and his team won the state championship in 2003... his team won the City Championship in track.

Son of Angela Lucas... born December 11, 1984... has a brother, Darel, and sister, Katrina... majoring in Business Administration, minoring in Finance and Spanish... hobbies are drawing, chess and watching cartoons at 6 a.m.... his brother, Darel, was a member of Redlands CC’s 2002 national champion team.
