OGDEN, Utah - Junior
Megan Martin was named the Big Sky Conference's Offensive Most Valuable Player as voted on by the coaches it was announced Monday. Martin, a junior from Beavercreek, Ore., led the Vikings with six goals on the season and led the conference with five goals in conference play to win the “Golden Boot” award.

Megan Martin has had a tremendous season so far,” Portland State head coach
Laura Schott said. “I am really looking forward to see what she does this weekend in the tournament. She has been a great asset to our team this year.”
Along with wining the Offensive MVP award, Martin was selected to the Big Sky All-Conference First team as a midfielder. Also selected to the first team was senior defender
Toni Carnovale.
Carnovale started 16 of the team's 17 games this season for the Vikings while playing over 1,500 minutes, a team best. She also added an assist with 12 shots on the season.

Melissa Trammell were all selected to the All-Conference Second Team.
Geiger led the Vikings with four assists on the season and started every match her final year. Dutra finished the regular season with two goals and three assists while Trammell finished second on the team with four goals.

Kala Renard were all honorable mentions.
“I'm happy to see many of our student-athletes acknowledged for their outstanding efforts so far this season,” Schott said.
The Vikings will take on Weber State Friday night in the first semifinal match of the 2011 Big Sky Soccer Tournament hosted by Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo.
