BOISE, Idaho – The Portland State men's tennis team completed a three-day tennis tournament hosted by Boise State on Sunday as team saw some nice returns from its players. Sophomore Brent Wheeler had the Viks best tournament advancing all the way to the third round of the Orange Flight singles consolation bracket.

PSU competitors found some success in the consolation rounds on Saturday and Sunday as Wheeler defeated Joseph Cohen, and Andrew Warren in the first two rounds before falling to Levin Guillermo, 7-5, 6-3. Newcomer Antoine Bechmann also got his first win of the fall season, defeating Krzyzstof Stempien in three sets, 7-6, 6-7, 10-7.
 
In the blue flight singles consolation bracket as sophomore Alec Marx advanced past the first round defeating Andrew Macfarland, 6-4, 7-5.
 
In doubles play the team of Wheeler and freshman Ian Risenhoover got the lone PSU doubles victory, downing Portland's Gill/Micov, 8-6.

The Viks will now prepare for the PNW Intercollegiate tournament, which is scheduled for Nov. 2-4.
