– The Portland State women's 4x100-meter dash team finished seventh in their heat and 20th overall Saturday in the national quarterfinals at the NCAA West Prelims in Austin, Texas.
 
The relay team of Sierra Brooks, Geronne Black, Anaiah Rhodes and Jazmin Ratcliff posted a time of 45.96 to finish 20th overall and fall short of advancing past the national quarterfinals to the semifinals on June 6 in Des Moines, Iowa.
 
The quintet broke the Portland State all-time record for the event as well as the Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Championship record for the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 45.19 at the conference championship last month.
 
Sean MacKelvie advanced to the national final in the men's javelin with a Portland State all-time record throw of 228-03. He will compete in the event finals on Thursday, June 7 in Des Moines.
