With that time Rozcicha automatically qualified for the Big Sky tournament in that respective event.

While Rozcicha capped the meet, it was the Portland State women's sprinters that got the Viks off to a fast start as the squad placed three runners in the 60-meter hurdle finals as Joenisha Vinson placed second with a time of 8.65, while teammates Jazmin Ratcliff and Cassandra Sidner also qualified and took fifth and eigth, respectively, with times of 8.79 and 8.85.

The women's team once again executed its strength in the 60-meter dash, after qualifying five runners for the Big Sky tournament in the team's first meet, as the squad put five of its runners in the event's final round. Geronne Black tallied her second first-place finish of the year taking home the top spot with a time of 7.41, while Sierra Brooks took fourth with a time of 7.62. Ratcliff, Anaiah Rhodes and Sidner followed close behind as the trio placed sixth (7.67), eighth (7.71) and 12th (7.82), respectively.

In the 400m, Dominique Maloney and Ashley Frazier were PSU's fastest entrants with times of 57.54, and 58.97, good for fourth and eighth overall. Meanwhile Rhodes tallied another strong performance with her time of 25.50 in the 200m while Ratcliff ran the event with a mark of 26.09.

Vinson carried over her strong start in the hurdles to the jumping events as the veteran tallied a final distance of 5.51m (18-01.00) and a fourth-place finish in the long jump, while Hanna Johsnon punched her ticket to the Big Sky tournament in the shot put event registering a distance of 13.67 and a fourth-place finish.

The men's team also found success in the squad's first meet back from the Holiday break as the team was bolstered by strong performances by its sprinters and jumpers.

JJ Rosenberg turned in the Viks' best time in the 400m with a mark of 49.46, while the freshman tandem of Briley Beaton and Marquese Brown followed suit with times of 50.70 and 51.38. The jumpers for the Vikings , who had impressed in the team's first meet at Boise State, proved that it wasn't an aberration. Freshman Rockwell Tufty, who qualified for the Big Sky tournament in the high jump during his first collegiate meet at the Jacksons Open, had another big day for the Viks, taking seventh in the respective event, with a mark of 1.92m (6-03.50).
