Portland State wide receiver Justin Monahan signed a free agent contract with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League this past weekend. Monahan is one of 12 former Viking players now affiliated with professional teams in North America.

Monahan was a three-year starter for the Vikings at wide receiver. The 6-3, 210-pounder from West Linn, OR caught 112 passes for 1,579 yards and 14 touchdowns in 30 career games. 

The CFL begins preseason play next week.
