PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland State women's soccer team added four more players to its 2017 signing class Monday, giving the Vikings their largest class ever under head coach
Laura Schott.
Of the four players added Monday, two come to the Vikings out of high school in
Kendall Pope and
Rilee Castilla, while the other two come to the Vikings as transfers from Clark College in
Molly Joyce and
Madison Reynolds.
The 14-player signing class adds significant depth to a team that already returns a majority of its players from a year ago. The Vikings still stand to return 10 of the 11 players who started at least 10 matches last season, as well as three of their top four goals scorers and the majority of their backline.
Additionally, the Vikings return all four of their All-Big Sky selections, including first-team selections
Katie Forsee and
Kristin Moyer.
