Beau Duronslet Named Big Sky Conference Defensive Player Of The Week

Portland State senior linebacker Beau Duronslet has been named the Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Week following his performance in a 35-32 loss at Oregon State on Saturday. 

Duronslet, from Portland's Central Catholic High School, made eight tackles in the game. He also intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble in the third quarter against the Beavers. Both takeaways led to touchdowns by the Viking offense. 

For the season, Duronslet has a team-high 19 tackles. He is also the Vikings' active career leader in tackles with 204. Duronslet now has five takeaways in his career as well.

He is the second Viking in as many weeks to win Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week. Davond Dade won the honor last week after the game at BYU.
