1966 – NCAA University Division Champion and College Division Third Place.

1967 – NCAA College and University Division National Champion and Outstanding Wrestler

1968 – NCAA College Division National Champion, University Division Second Place
              Oregon Outstanding Amateur Athlete
              First American to win a World Freestyle Championship, AAU World Team

Career at PSU: 103 wins, 2 losses.
                - 65 consecutive dual match wins with 48 pins
                - 40-2 record in NAIA/NCAA Tournament
                - Led PSC team to 1967 National Championship
                - Member USA AAU World Team: 1964, 1966, 1967, and 1969

Olympic Games Silver medalist, 1968 and 1972.

Inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1983
