KARI KOCKLER - VOLLEYBALL/WOMEN’S BASKETBALL, 1986-1991

A member of the 1988 National Championship Volleyball team, Kockler had a remarkable career, earning All-West Region honors four times and All-American honors twice. At the end of her volleyball career, Kockler ranked third all-time in kills (1,241) and second in total blocks. She still ranks among the all-time leaders in virtually every statistical category.

Of her 158 career matches between 1986 and 1989, the Vikings won 114. Kockler also lettered four times on the women’s basketball team, as the Vikings went 50-31 during her last three seasons. She averaged 15.1 points and 8.0 rebounds as a senior, leading the team in rebounds, blocks, and total points.
