Welcome To The New GoViks.com

The Portland State Athletics Program signed a partnership with web service provider SIDEARM Sports this past spring and has introduced a new GoViks.com website. The new site gives the athletics program a more dynamic look, with simplified navigation and many new features.

Among the most significant new features is a mobile site - allowing ease of access on mobile devices - and an improved video component which the Athletics Department will expand in the coming year. The new GoViks.com ease of navigation includes top of page quick links to the Vikings' YouTube page, social media links to Portland State Athletics on Facebook and Twitter, ticket information, an RSS feed and quick links to live audio, streaming video and live stats.

Sports media guides will also be going online at the new GoViks.com in full color. There will be in-depth program information, interactive features, and video elements to each digital media guide.

"We have been proud to offer a comprehensive and informative GoViks.com website over the years, but I think our fans will really be pleased with the look and ease of use of our newly-designed website," said Mike Lund, Assistant Athletics Director for Media Relations. "The new mobile version of our site, a commitment to upgrading our video content, and more dynamic livestats for our events are just a few of the areas that we have improved at GoViks.com."

"We are extremely excited Portland State University has chosen to partner with SIDEARM Sports to build and host the new www.goviks.com website," said Jamie Joss, SIDEARM Sports Vice President for Operations and Sales. "Through collaboration with Mike Lund and the rest of the Vikings athletics staff we believe the new site incorporates the latest technology to add to the alumni, parent and fan experience.

"The new website demonstrates PSU's commitment to being a leader in the Big Sky Conference and its ongoing desire to help promote the Vikings programs and student-athletes. We appreciate the hard work and cooperation Mike and his staff put forth in throughout the development of the site."

The new-look GoViks.com went live on Thursday, July 29.
